How to Add Google AdSense to Your Blog or Website

Already have a site or blog? Now it is time to start your first step to make money with it.
The most popular PPC advertising in industry is Google Adsense.

What is Google AdSense?
It is the most popular PPC advertising network from Google. Website owners can publish google sponsor ads, in return Google will pay some cash for each click received. Google automatically checks the web content where webmasters place the ads on and displays advertisements that are relevant. (f.e if your site is about game, they will display ads related to game). This produces highly targeted advertisements at the web page, great traffic for the advertisers, good profit for Google and the publisher (include you).

What you need to do:

1. Make your website to show Google ads at.
   Google AdSense team reviews every site before accepting new applications, so you must first make a working website and not just some “under construction” page. They have some qualifications for publisher applications, so make sure you have the qualifications.

2. Make Google Publisher account.
   Sign Up at Google Adsense. And then check a verification email from Google, click the link at that email and just wait for Google Adsense team to review your application. They will notify you whether your site is approved or denied. You can always try again if you do not succeed at first trial.
3. Configure your Ads
   Once your application is approved, log into your account to get HTML code. Find the code at “AdSense Setup” tab. What you need is the code for the context-sensitive advertisements that is located under the “AdSense for Content” link. You can customize how your ads looks like, choose between text ads, image ads or a mix of both. Once you’ve finished, copy and paste the whole HTML code into your site. Remember that every time you modify your ads appearance and type, you will need to get a new code or your ads will not shown correctly.
   There are other types of ads beside the context-sensitive ads: “AdSense for Search”. It allow you to add Google search box on your site. When your visitors search through that box, and click any advertisement, you will earn cash. So might as well add them both to maximize your revenue.
4. Placing the HTML code at your Site.
   It may be simple, but there is little tips how to efficiently show Google Ads. Instead of paste it to your post, paste the code to your theme/template. It can be at the sidebar, below your header, above your footer, in the middle of your text/posts. Just experience with different location and see if the Ads will be attractive to your site visitors. My opinion is never put too many ads at one page. It make your site looks unprofessional.
5. Verify your PIN.
   Google will send you a Personal Identification Number (PIN) by standard mail when your account first reaches $10 in earnings. This PIN is used to help verify publisher accounts and addresses for security purposes.
6. Withdraw your cash.
   You can withdraw once you reach $100 or 70 Euro.
